Back to Minus Square 10!
Well it's November 2015, a year since my last post.
My last post I said I was 12stone 10lbs or 82kg, today I weigh..... 92.4kg or 14st 8 lbs!
I honestly am disgusted with myself, why did I let all the hard work I did last year go back on and more! I weigh heavier now than I have done in 2 years! It's shocking! I've noticed the weight piling on the last few months, things are stressful for me at the moment and I'm finding myself comfort eating a lot. Or I'm using, ah sure I'm starting the diet on Monday, I'll have a takeaway as my last supper!
But no, enough is enough. It's the 24th November right now, tomorrow will be the 25th November which brings a month to Christmas Day, I'm going to set myself a target of 14 stone by then. I'm taking it baby steps.
All I need to lose is 8lbs, 2lbs a week. I can do this!

The Aftermath....
Well I suck at keeping my blog updated!
I managed to survive the month challenge I did and my losses were;
- 19th July - 13 stone 4.5lbs or 84.5kg
- 21st July - 13 stone 6.5lbs or 85.6kg
- 28th July - 12 stone 11.5lbs or 81.4kg
- 4th August - 12 stone 7.5lbs or 79.7kg
- 11th August - 12 stone 7lbs or 78.6kg
- 15th August - 12 stone 5lbs or 76.6kg
However, fast forward to 9th November (almost 3 months since I last went to the gym and stuck to the food plan), I decided to do one on one personal training with the instructor again.
I weighed in at 82kg which is 12 stone 10.5lbs, so I had put on 5.5lbs since I stopped going to the gym and eating the right foods! I'm actually glad it wasn't any more and it didn't push me back over the 13stone mark!
I'll try to keep this updated as I go along in the next month in my one-to-one personal training sessions!

Week 2 Food Pics
Week 2 of Mission Impossible
The week started out well, and then I was off to the country on the Tuesday with food in hand. The first test came on the Wednesday when I was out with colleagues for lunch, there were no salads I could get that matched my plan (i.e. not enough greens!) so I opted for a wholemeal sandwich with tuna and loads of lettuce and cucumber. The next day I went to a cafe to meet with my manager and oh my god, the cakes were looking at me so bad, especially a lemon meringue pie! I stuck with green tea and said I was going to have a big salad in an hour and managed to resist that way.
Went to a sandwich bar where they did up a gorgeous salad for me but they had no balsamic vinegar or olive oil so opted for a Ceaser dressing which I told her only a little bit but she poured it on! The Friday then, I went out for lunch again! No salads this time, I opted for what said, a Chicken Sandwich (served on wholemeal pitta bread). It came out absolutely dripping in mayo and sauce and wasn't a wholemeal pitta, I ate it and felt crap after it so drove 2 hours back to Dublin and hit the gym for an hour!
It felt good to be back in the gym sad as it sounds! Got home about 7.30pm then and now I could rest! I had no plans for the weekend unfortunately or fortunately so ended up doing a good shop and cooking food all weekend AND I didn't have any alcohol!
I did get a huge craving for a chipper on the Sunday though after I went to the gym, the day before Week 2 weigh in, I went to my local Tescos and it's surrounded by a Subway, a pizza place, a burger place and McDonalds and a chipper! Before I probably would have went to the chipper and ordered myself a big bags of chips (I'm actually drooling over them now!).
So Monday morning, a bank holiday Monday morning I might add and it was weigh in time... *duh duh duh*
28th July - 12 stone 11.5lbs or 81.4kg
4th August - 12 stone 7.5lbs or 79.7kg
I had lost another just close to 4lbs or 1.7kg!
Absolutely delighted! This brings my total loss to just under a stone, in just 2 weeks! So delighted with myself that I decided to have a nice breakfast at a local cafe to treat myself and still be on plan! The cafe which is called The Lo-Cal Cafe serves healthier options such as turkey rashers and sausages.
I opted for The Healthy Hangover with a green tea, absolutely delicious. This was my healthy cheat meal, still on plan but with a few added things I shouldn't be eating i.e. the beans AND bread & butter. It was soooo worth it though!

Right, so I'm past the halfway mark, only another 2 weeks to go and I know if I can go 2 weeks without drinking any sugar drinks, no crisps or chocolate, I know I can survive another 2!!!

Back blogging.....
So here I am again, back to my blog.
I started this blog back in January 2011 when I first joined Slimming World, I think I updated it pretty much twice a month with my progress then I stopped. My last post was in September 2011 which was 1 month before my mother died and I returned to college that month also. With all the thins going on I didnt have time and I suppose I just forgot about.
My last post said I weighed 13 stone 9.5lbs and I was trying to break through my 13.5 stone barrier which I did. I kept going to classes and following the plan but not as strict was I doing. I'm not gonna post every single weigh in seeing as its nearly 3 years ago so I'm gonna do a 6 month update since I began my weight journey in Jan 2011.
Jan 2011 - 16 stone 11.5lbs
July 2011 - 13 stone 12.5lbs
JJan 2012 - 13 stone 8.5lbs
July 2012 - 13 stone 4lbs
Jan 2013 - 13 stone 13.5lbs
July 2013 - 14 stone 1lb
Jan 2014 - 14 stone 9.5lbs
July 2014 - 13 stone 4.5lbs
So as you can see, my weight loss initially was fairly rapid, my lowest weight recorded was 13 stone 1lb and that was in February 2012, I gained 2, lost 1, gained 2, lost 2 etc... never have gone below that.
Also, I stopped going to slimming world in May 2013 as I was yoyoing for a year between same weight and it was bugging me, so I stopped and returned in Jan 2014, I put on nearly a stone in just 8 months, its scary how weight can creep back up.
Since this year, I've lost nearly 1.5 stone and that's by following SW again but I've also started to do gym classes, and I suppose the reason why I'm doing this now again is that I'm starting a 4 week Mission Impossible challenge this Monday 21st July. I've been trying to do gym classes but they're restricted at certain times and I'm not too familiar with how to use gym equipment, so I think taking on this challenge will help me and teach me how to use the equipment properly if I want to go to the gym in my own time.
It's training 3 times a week at 6.30am in the morning (god help me!!!) And comes with a food plan. I'm hoping I'll see results in 4 weeks and hopefully hit 12 stone something and tone up!!
I'll try to update this blog weekly or on days I feel crap and need a boost. So enjoy reading!!!
